To Develop Agriculture and Forestry Leaders
About the Benefit and Award Celebration: The Agriculture
and Forestry Education Foundation is the premier service provider
of leadership training and networking to support healthy natural
resource industries and communities. The Foundation advances natural
resource industries through enhanced understanding, education, and
empowerment of future leaders. The Foundation is holding its third
annual gala benefit and award event to heighten opinion leader awareness
of the Foundation’s educational and leadership training services
while celebrating the bounty of Washington and all products from
our farms, fields, forests, and near-shore environments. A gala
party, set in the heart of the state’s largest city, is a
high profile event that draws at least 450 philanthropic and community
leaders to Seattle for a delightful harvest celebration of fine
dining and entertainment.
The evening will begin with a cocktail reception at
Fisher Pavilion, Seattle Center, at 5:30 p.m., featuring Washington
grown products. The evening will continue with a delicious and uniquely
served dinner prepared by Kaspar Donier and highlighting the bounty
of Washington’s agricultural foods and beverages. The décor
will feature the uniqueness/quality of Washington’s forestry
and wood products industry along with horticulture products. Dinner
will be followed by entertainment in a setting that is hospitable
to networking and establishing friendships.
About the Beneficiary: The Foundation is a dynamic
leadership organization that incorporated in 1977 and is celebrating
over 25 years of advancing the natural resource industries in the
State of Washington. The program presents a series of 14 seminars
over a two year period, which is designed to broaden the knowledge
base, the skills, and the motivation for leadership of its natural
resource-based participants. The leadership program uses and calls
upon its graduates to serve as leaders, presenters, and facilitators
of these 14 seminars. Every participant is already a leader who
is eager to acquire more knowledge and stronger skills. Participants
will during, as well as after completing the leadership program,
have an effect on and be change agents at the local, state, and
national level. Graduates have gone on to serve as leaders in government,
the private sector, and as elected officials.
Proceeds from the Benefit and Award Celebration will
fund ongoing educational programs and provide scholarships for participants.
Attendance: Over 450 community, corporate, and philanthropic
leaders and graduates.
