Vineyard to Glass at Boushey Vineyards and Col Solare Winery

Experience Red Mountain with AG Forestry grads Marcus Notaro, Col Solare winemaker and Dick Boushey, Vineyard Owner and Col Solare Vineyard Manager, as your personal guides. You’ll begin by kicking the dirt in the vineyards as Dick shares the history and growth of the wine from bud to berry. Afterwards, your party of six will visit Col Solare and learn about the Bordeaux-style blend as you tour the estate vineyard, winery and cellars. And depending on the time of year, you may even have the rare pleasure of Dick’s hand-made cherry ice cream with cherries from his orchard!! The donor, a Vice-Chair of the Foundation's Board of Trustees, has lived in the Middle East and has over 25 years of experience cooking Middle Eastern food. You and four of five of your guests will cruise the Puget Sound in a Shellfish Work Skiff with Geoduck Farm Manager, Brian Phipps (Class 29) and Clam Oyster Farm Manager, Jason Ragan (Class 32). As the tide falls, Brian and Jason will show you how they farm and teach you how to Harvest your own Clams, Oysters and Geoducks.
